Seguono collaborazioni con Jean Paul Bourelly, John Purcell e Harry Pepl.

Dal 1992 fino al 1997 Paul Zauner e Franz Hackl con il gruppo ITSLYF, nel quale suonano Thomas Kugi, Gottfried Stöger, David Gilmore, Kenny Davis, Rodney Holmes e Pavan Kumar effetuano varie tournées in Asia, Africa, America del nord e del sud, e in grandi festival europei dove riscontrano grossi successi nello stile Avantgarde-Fusion-Jazz.

Il CD "Hep Caolin" (PAO/VERVE) è stato giudicato dal "Guide of Jazz and Blues" come uno dei migliori CD del secolo con 5 stelle…

Attualmente Zauner lavora principalmente con il suo quartetto con Clemens Salesny, Wolfram Derschmidt e Dusan Novakov, così con il suo progetto “Blues Grass”.
Inoltre ha creato un progetto molto speciale tra il Barocco ed il contemporaneo “Ars Futura”.
È anche membro del Oliver Lake Quintet “Dedicated to Eric Dolphy”.

Paul Zauner è inoltre direttore artistico di vari festival in Austria e direttore del’etichetta PAO (www.pao.at)
